     Goliath was founded in 2005 by Goce Stefanovski and Lily Chiu, both couple in  marriage and the only work force for the company in its early days. The idea for the company’s name came from the initial two letters of their given names (“GO-LI”) and “GOLIATH” in full was meant to represent their mutual sense of “thinking big” when starting each new chapter in life.

     Goce Stefanovski, of Macedonian descent and bachelor in mechanical engineering, became the Managing Director of Goliath and the driving force behind the project management. His journey to Taiwan as a participant to a government initiated cultural and engineering exchange program back in 1999, turned out to be a life-changing move, as Taiwan has ever since become his second home. Taking “Organization of  Production” as narrow specialty during the studies and having twelve years practical work experience in plastic injection molding prior to founding Goliath, made the choice of the initial profile of the company clear – doing just the same. The next step was to create a team for work and working environment eligible to take shot on international  projects. Diving into such adventure was all but easy as a breeze. A great amount of patience, flexibility and perseverance was what it took to bring the different mentalities working together and on the same goal. However, being able to do so, was just another proof of the old saying “when there is a will, there is way”, we are all human beings  after all, sharing the same ambitions and joining our forces for the same cause.

     Lily Chiu, is a Taiwan national with sales and marketing background, took the role of the Founder and the President of the company, being in charge of handling the company’s financial and administrative affairs from Day 1. Her distinctive entrepreneurial spirit was the major driving and supporting force in overcoming the challenges that starting a small sized business usually brings. Becoming a mom almost at the same time when Goliath started, did not prevent her from being fully engaged in handling the company’s matters under her watch.
